Hi, I'm Carolina.

I love making things and have been doing it for as long as I can remember, my "get things done" approach has been a cornerstone of my personality since the beginning.

Growing up in a small town in Portugal, I would never have imagined that I would currently be living in the UK after having lived in different cities in Portugal, including Lisbon. The people I've met along the way have shown me different perspectives and have helped me to grow as a more adaptable and well rounded person.

During this period I've became a passionate Biochemist who takes great joy in the plethora of possibilites of implementing science in Biotechnology. It is rewarding, even though it is challenging. Not that a challenge would bother me. Looking back, it is amazing to see all my personal and professional growth, flaws and all.

It has become increasingly clear to me what things I really love to do and what I value the most through this growth. I get really excited about starting projects, thinking about the best strategies for them and collaborating with people I admire.

For me, working alone has never been exciting. There is nothing better than looking at the strongest skills of others and learning from them to incorporate them whenever it's needed. That’s why I think networking is so important. Indeed, networking is what happens at a molecular level, it is literally essential for our body to function and it is exactly the same with humanity: the better the network we have/create, more exceptional are the outcomes.

I am fascinated with learning more about all of this while incorporating it in my life moving forward.
